Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm a freelance writer and creator based in western South Dakota. I'm fortunate enough to have a background in regenerative agriculture on landscapes across the western US. This background has been essential to my current position with World Wildlife Fund as a Specialist for the Great Plains Sustainable Ranching Initiative. In this position, I get to work with live stock producers on nuanced projects centering around grassland conservation and increasing biodiversity on grazing lands. I enjoy supporting land managers of all backgrounds in my position and furthering collaborative conservation approaches,
Aside from my day job, I work on training my border collie pal, Gurt, to herd sheep. I also spend my time doing artwork, trail running, and doing a little plant ID along the way. Don't hesitate to reach out through this site for project inquiries.
Grazing lands play an important and often over looked role in supporting wildlife habitat, clean water, rural communities, and the next generation of land stewards. I began RLC in part to offer my writing, ranching, and artistic skills on a contract basis to organizations seeking to promote the far reaching value of well managed rangelands. Aside from a landing page for my contract work, I created RLC as a home for the profiles and artwork I've done over the years that center around mine and others' work in the grasslands. Head on over to RLC Reads for more.
